White-fronted goose banding 2010

The beginning of July was consumed by our annual white-fronted goose banding drives in interior and northern Alaska. Fun float-flying in interesting places, with good folks.
Banding geese at hot and sunny at Innoko National Wildlife Refuge.

Some blood sampling for disease screening.

Lunchtime near the banks of the Iditarod River.

...sunny day/moment on the slope.
Me and my passengers in 61599.
With another 2000 birds banded, the crew dispersed from Deadhorse...Hurray!
Anderson and I flew two of the 206-amphibs from Deadhorse to Kotzebue, with a lunch break in Anaktuvik Pass.
Neat trip with beautiful lakes dotting our trip along the south side of the Brooks Range to Kotzebue.
