Memorial Day Weekend 2010

At the end of May 2010, Trish met up with Coal and I for a whirlwind weekend tour of family events: Anchorage->Seattle->Salt Lake City->Reno (for Maria's wedding), then Reno->L.A.->Flagstaff->Prescott (for Aunt Joie's birthday), then Prescott->New Mexico->Denver->Anchorage (return home)...all in 4 days! Trish met up with us in Reno and then headed back to Santa Rosa out of Prescott. Lots of airplanes, lots of family, and not alot of sleep! But I think we got to see most of the Stanton-Durazo clan over the course of two days!

Auntie Trish offered free Coal entertainment in all the airports.

First we headed to Maria and Vince's wedding in Reno, NV. They had a simple, sweet ceremony in the foothills of Reno with close friends and family. Vince's two kids were a part of the ceremony and Maria made both her and Vince's daughther's dresses. Super nice to see everyone.

Early the next morning after Maria's wedding, Carmen took us to the airport and we arrived in Prescott just in time for Aunt Joie's surprise 70th birthday party in Prescott, AZ!

Trish and I hadn't seen aunt Joie together, since mom passed away in 1995. We were lucky to get a long visit in with her the day after the party (after our flights out of Prescott got cancelled).Most of Aunt Joie's family came to the party (Her four kids and their spouses; above, and all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; below)All the Stanton-side nieces and nephews
(minus the Durazos, who were still up at Maria's wedding) were in attendance.The day after the party and with our flights got cancelled, Trish, Coal, and I stayed with Debbie and George, just outside Prescott.Uncle Tim, Aunt Lenore, and Rosemarie came over for a post-party visit and Coal got some good play time in with 2nd cousin, Garrett (Rosemarie's son)By the end of the trip Coal looked a little shell-shocked, but he really was an amazing little traveler, considering our schedule.
