Cold Bay Goose Hunt 2009!

5 days of goose hunting in Cold Bay in early October ended our 2009 Alaska hunting season. Coal, Otter, Paul, and I had a great time out there. Good company (Dirk & Margaret, + the Daus), good food (thanks for cooking Dirk!...and for all the ptarmigan Jens), great birds, and fantastic berries! Watching those goose flocks pass over at close range, never ceases to amaze me...and the sound of thousands of brant talking to each other across the lagoon...it's like a jet taking off!
