Just returned from our annual trip to the midwest. A little more compressed than usual...a few days with Grandpa Roger in Cedar Rapids, a few days with uncle Jim in western Iowa, and a few days hunting the Missouri deer opener.
Coal's trip was full of new discoveries, reintroductions, and new words..."GANPA" (GRANDPA)
..."DEER!"
..."HUNTING" (This year's hunting crew...lots of 16 year old son's and daughters now moving out of the youth season and squeezing their dad's out of the choice stands in the adult hunt. 6 bucks and one coyote taken by the time we left). Sure did miss uncle Jim (Bogert) this year.
..."CABIN" (the place we hunt out of in Missouri)
..."PAIGE "(my baby-sitter extraordinaire for opening morning (Jim Bogert's granddaughter), allowing me one day's solo hunt! I got a buck that morning and Paige had a successful hunt the following day...Thanks Paige!)
..."JIMMY & NORMA" (Paul's aunt & uncle)
..."DUCKS"
..."GEESE"
(A successful field hunt with Craig & Jackie's boys/Jim's grandson's (Jim & Ben))

'Co-co' (as he likes to call himself) was pretty racked out from all the traveling.
