...at last check-up (39 weeks)

At my check-up 30 Dec. (39 weeks 4 days) my cervix was in the anterior position (more forward for birth), 4 cm dilated, 70% effaced, and Coal's head was at the -1 to 0 station (see illustration below)...all early 'pre-labor' progression towards delivery - without much work (just a few random contractions, cramps, and backaches)! The illustration below shows some of these measurements and gives a good picture of exactly how Coal is sitting at the moment - back and butt to my left, head down in the pelvis, and feet tucked under my right ribs.
